Did you know that citizens living in Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands can vote to elect delegates to attend the Democratic and Republican national conventions, but the delegates from these small and often quite distant places cannot vote in the November 2012 election? While the territorial delegates take part in their political party’s selection of candidates for president and vice president, these delegates and the voters they represent are not eligible to vote in the presidential elections.
